Yes, absolutely. Banks in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg finance prefab homes in the same way as traditional construction. EcoBuild works with ING, ABN AMRO, Triodos Bank, and ASN Bank, which are familiar with our products and documentation. We supply all technical specifications, CE certificates, and energy labels that banks require.
Because our homes achieve the A+++ energy label by default, they are eligible for green mortgage programs. This gives you an interest discount of 0.3β0.5% and extra borrowing capacity of up to 6% of the home value compared to a regular mortgage.
Yes. Outbuildings and extensions on your plot can be financed via a construction account on your existing mortgage, a sustainability loan at your municipality (sometimes 0%), or a personal loan. We will discuss the best option during the consultation.
With a construction account, the mortgage amount is placed in a separate depot. During construction, the money is released in phases. Because prefab homes are built much faster (8β16 weeks instead of 12β18 months), you pay significantly fewer account fees than with traditional construction.
